Terms of use

These terms cover your use of resme, run by [legal entity] (“we”). By creating an account you agree to them. Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your data.

Your account

You need to be at least [16] to use resme. Give us an email address you can reach, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at [contact email] if you think someone else has got into your account. You're responsible for what happens under your account.

Your content stays yours

You own the resumes, cover letters, notes and everything else you put into resme. You let us store, process and display it only so we can run the service for you: saving it, showing previews, checking it against job postings, making PDF and Word files, and showing a shared resume to the people you send the link to. We never sell it and never use it to train AI models.

Only put in content you have the right to use, and keep it truthful. resme is for presenting your own experience, not for impersonating someone else.

Shared links

A shared link makes that resume visible to anyone who has the link. You decide what to share and can stop sharing at any time.

Fair use

• Don't try to break, overload or get around the security of resme.
• Don't use resme to send spam or to collect other people's personal data.
• Don't use automated tools to create accounts or scrape shared resumes.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.

No guarantees about jobs

resme checks your resume against common applicant tracking system rules and against the job postings you paste. Every employer's system is different, so we can't promise any result, such as an interview or a job offer.

Feedback

If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve resme without owing you anything for them. We won't publish your name with your feedback without asking you.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account from Settings at any time. We keep it for 30 days in case you change your mind, then delete it and everything in it for good. Download your data first if you want a copy.

The service

We work to keep resme running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is”. We may change or stop features, and we'll give you notice before anything that affects your data. [Limitation of liability wording, to be reviewed.]

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll email you before the change takes effect. Using resme after that means you accept the new terms.
